You have now created and made improvements to a wiki about a particular
community. For this assignment we want you to consider how problems and
possible solutions in that community depend on how the community is socially
constructed.
We suggest that you first read through all the questions below
before starting on the first question.
1. Identify a problem in the community
Think of some problem or issue in the community. Briefly explain what the
problem is (one or two sentences).
The most prominent issue within the community is the ever-increasing number
of underage victims who are forced into the community and depend on those
who exploit them. This is possibly due to children wanting to get out of the
slums in any way possible. There are many factors as to why individuals are
forced into this industry such as poverty, political instability, racism, gender
inequality and addictions.
2. Describe a possible solution
Describe a possible solution to the problem that would probably satisfy the
most powerful people in the community (one paragraph).
Despite essentially feeling powerless, I think the most powerful individuals are
the children in prostitution. Due to the factors mentioned above, instability of
