This book, for students TVET and up, hits the biggest soft spots most of today's students have. The problem with the mathematics curriculum used by most schools today is that students are given formula after formula to memorize and blindly use in problem solving. In this way, the students never learn to think critically, they do not perform well on big standardized exams such as the SATs, KNEC, KASNEB and unfortunately they often fear math for the rest of their life. This workbook is different because it develops the student's ability to reason and use logic. It has both number and word problems. The word problems use real life examples and ask the student to integrate several concepts at once. These problems also teach comprehensive reading skills. The number problems are superb for preparing a student for Algebra 1 and 2 type SAT questions and more.
