1.2 Social Sciences focuses on people and the relationship
they have with their environment which is relevant to all of
us. The purpose of Social Sciences in the school
curriculum is so that pupils can be aware of the world,
society and environment around them. Social Sciences
also helps to develop critical thinking as well as time and
spatial concepts. (The Progressive Teacher 2016)

1.3.1 Audiovisual media is a variety of mediums (both sound
and visuals) which teachers use to teach content in the
classroom.
