Various practice problems on synthesis, nomenclature and mechanisms. Lecture notes on the most common 12 reactions, substitution/elimination, radical reactions, and diene reactions. Organometallic compounds and organometallic reactions (Heck Reaction, Stille Reaction, Suzuki Coupling). Spectroscopy (HNMR, mass spectrometry, UV, IR). Practice problems on formation of the structure organic compounds based on the HNMR and molecular formula. Benzene reactions (bromination, chlorination, iodination, nitration, sulfonation, Friedel-Crafts Acylation, Friedel-Crafts Alkylation). Descriptions of ortho-para and meta directors for benzene reactions.
