My name is Breka Brown and today I will be talking about Theodore Roosevelt; who I feel had a significant influence on social, economic and political movement in the 20th century. Slide 2: The Early Life of Theodore Roosevelt Theodore Roosevelt was born in 1858 in New York City, New York. Roosevelt’s father; Theodore Roosevelt, Sr was a businessman and philanthropist and his mother, Martha Bulloch, came from a wealthy family that owned a slave plantation (Cooper, 2020). Slide 3: Early life continued Growing up Roosevelt suffered from severe asthma and weak eyesight, but that did not stop his life-long determination. In 1880 Roosevelt graduated from Harvard University with his Bachelor's in Art. He then began studying at Columbia Law School but suddenly switched his studding to writing and politics (A&E Network Television, 2019).
