Task 2 –
P5: Produce clear plans to improve the nutritional health of two individuals with different dietary
needs.
Zainab:
Zainab is a 22-year-old who has just finished university. She studies in the library and also goes to
the gym to exercise. She has barely anytime to eat as she is always on the go. She has type 2
diabetes and is underweight. This plan will be to help her to get to a healthy weight whilst also
keeping her meals nutritious and making sure they are easy healthy and not too time consuming as
she has a lot to do.

Nicole:
Nicole is a 58 year old who is the manager of her workplace. She is divorced and never learned to
cook, she relies on ready meals and fast food which is very unhealthy and lack some nutrients that
are essential for the bodily function. Her job involves entertaining clients meaning she may end up
going to restaurants and drinking excessive amounts of wine or alcohol for fun without realising the
effect it would have on her body. Consequently, she became overweight and further investigations
revealed she has coronary heart disease. She has been referred to a dietician for life changing meals
and illness preventing recipes and with a diet that only consists of water.
