There are two parts to the examination instructions.
A. General instructions related to the examination
B. The QR code and invigilation application
This examination paper consists of seven (7) pages.
A: General instructions
1. This examination paper consists of eight (8) questions. You must select and answer any four (4)
questions.
2. Remember to submit the compulsory declaration with your answer script, otherwise you will
obtain zero. (Refer to Additional Resources on myUnisa.)
3. You must provide correct in-text references for all sources that you consulted to complete this
examination.
4. You must adhere to all other relevant technical presentation requirements as set out in Tutorial
Letter CMNALLE/301.
5. You must save your completed examination answer document in PDF. No other format will be
accepted.
6. Please read the information and follow the instructions below with regard to submitting your answer
file:
• Upload your answer script as a single PDF file. Your answer script must not be
password protected or uploaded as a read only file.
• E-mailed answer scripts will not be accepted.
• It is always a good idea to review your submission (answer script) to check whether it is
legible and that the correct file has been uploaded.
• You are allowed to resubmit your answer script if the initial submission is
unsuccessful.
• Your answer script will not be considered if it is in the wrong format or uncollated.
• An answer script that is in the wrong format or submitted on an unofficial examination
platform (e.g., the invigilator cellphone application) will not be marked, and there will be no
opportunity for resubmission.
• The mark awarded for an incomplete answer script will be your final mark. There will be no
opportunity for resubmission.
• The mark awarded for a scanned answer script that is illegible will be your final mark.
There will be no opportunity for resubmission.
• Submissions will only be accepted from registered student accounts.

,7. Students who do not use invigilation or proctoring tools during the examination will be
subjected to disciplinary processes.
8. Students suspected of dishonest conduct during the examination will be subjected to
disciplinary processes. Unisa has zero tolerance for plagiarism and any other forms of
academic dishonesty.
9. You will have one hour to submit your answer script after the official end of the examination.
Submissions made after this will be rejected and will not be marked.
10. If you experience network or loadshedding problems during the official examination time,
you are advised to apply for an aegrotat and to submit supporting evidence within three days
of the examination session.
11. If you experience technical difficulties during the examination session, contact the
Student Communication Service Centre (SCSC) on 080 000 1870 or
. Additional contact numbers are available at Get-Help. Only
communication received from your myLife account will be considered.

YOUR EXAM QR CODE & QR ACCESS CODE
INSTRUCTIONS ON THE DAY OF ASSESSMENT:
• Please log into The Invigilator App. You need to be connected to the internet in order to log in and scan the
QR code.
• Scan the QR code above once the examination formally commences. If you encounter difficulty with
scanning of the QR code you can also enter the QR access code at the bottom of the QR code in order to
start the assessment.
• Once the QR code is scanned, you can place your smartphone next to you. The Invigilator App will notify
you when an action is required. Ensure your media volume Is turned up.
• You may access your MyExams in the application if you only have one device by pressing the ‘access LMS’
button.
• Please remember to keep your smartphone on charge for the duration of the assessment.
• Keep The Invigilator app open on your cell phone during the assessment. You are not allowed to leave or
minimise the application.
• When an action is required, a notification beep will be heard. Action the request.
• Please ensure you are connected to the internet in order to commence the examination as well as at the
end of the examination. No internet connection is needed during the assessment.
• It is important to first upload your script to the MyExams. Uploading of app data is not time sensitive and
you can do it after you have uploaded your script to the MyExams.
• It is important to note that you have to adhere to the time limit in your MyExams assessment as the
invigilation time in the app could exceed the time allocated to complete your assessment.
• You can click the "Finish Assessment" button in the app if you finish early.
