Houston Obesity Prevention Health Program Evaluation
, My health program evaluation will focus on obesity prevention and management among
children in Houston County. There is a high prevalence of obesity within growing populations in
Texas. About 17.3% of children between 10 to 17 years are obese (Stateofchildhoodobesity.org,
2020). The mentioned statistics places Texas in the 12th position among the 50 US states
prompting the need for a weight management program that would address the issue. The obesity
prevention program's mission is to ensure that all young people engage in healthy lifestyles such
as Yoga, a nutritious diet, biking, hiking, and other outdoor activities that contribute to weight
management. Young people are presented with progressively encouraging weight loss
environments, attain a healthy weight, and maintain healthy practices. Below is the obesity
evaluation framework.

The purpose of evaluating the program mentioned above is to determine its effectiveness
(McKenzie et al., 2017). The obesity prevention program will involve a new model that increases
