I just want to mention something that has been differentiate over the years. I believe in many years ago, accounting information systems were paper-based journals and ledgers that were recorded manually by employees. Today, nearly every organization uses computer systems for maintaining records in its accounting information system. A lot of people who have not had their hands within the payroll system think it is just about paying the employees', but it is so much more than that!!! Keeping up with PTO, and sick time, as well as the 401K, if an employee wants to change their deductions, medical, dental, vision....there is so much behind the scenes that people do not realized that if it was all lost, I could not imagine what I would do in such a situation, Other than have to start looking back at a last stub for every employee
