, INTRODUCTION
1. Background
Thanks to the rapid development of the Internet, e-commerce platforms have been created.
While consumers are losing interest in shopping at traditional stores, the e-commerce market
is taking the opportunity to enter a time of great growth.

Along with the trend of technology development in the world, e-commerce in Vietnam is
gradually forming, growing strongly, and playing an increasingly important role in goods
distribution. According to the eConomy SEA 2019 report, the scale of Vietnam's e-commerce
market in early 2020 will reach 5 billion USD, the growth rate is up to 81%. Contributing to
this success are well-known brands such as Tiki, Lazada or Shopee. The competition of the
big players in the Vietnamese market is extremely exciting, but the most notable one is
Shopee.

Established in 2015, Shopee penetrate into Vietnam in August 2016. By brainy and effective
marketing strategy, Shopee has attracted a large number of customers, surpassing competitors
such as Tiki and Sendo to become a big brand in a short time

2. Rationale
As a student of economics university, my team wants to learn more about Shopee's strengths,
weaknesses, opportunities and threats so that we can learn the knowledge as well as draw
valuable lessons for ourself. The purpose of this research is to better understand Shopee's
business and give hypotheses, ideas that Shopee can apply in the future as economic students.

4. Methodology
In our research, we refer to data from articles, articles, information pages, etc. to find a lots
informatiton about the strategies of Shopee. With the information we have found, we will
carefully read and understand and find the appropriate data, which will give us the best
