Pathophysiology notes2 complete solution
Pathophysiology notes2 complete solution Chapter 1 Pathophysiology of hemostasis Spontaneous hemostasis : A major, local protective mechanism that ends in the stasis of hemorrhage caused by injury of small or medium caliber vessels. This complex process can be presented as a sequence of events that take place in stages : Intiation, amplification, formation of blood clot, stabilization and clot dissolution (propagation). This is the cell theory of hemostasis, instead we shall be discussing the classical theory, which presents 2 stages : 1.Vasculothrombotic stage/Primary hemostasis includes : -Vascular stage -Platlet stage 2.Secondary hemostasis includes : -Coagulation: fibrin clot (fibrin formation is the major characteristic of inflammation, vascular repair and hemostasis). -Thrombodynamic stage, Clot retraction......
