Question 2

Didactic or educational books do not only teach children of their own customs, religions and values,
but also raise children’s awareness of different cultures. Teachers are able to use these educational
stories to teach learners how to behave appropriately towards others, and to respect everyone is
society, despite their different perspectives.
Morals, customs, history, and religion are not the only subjects of didactic or educational stories.
They can also teach children literacy and numeracy skills. These books are valuable because they not
only enhance learners' general knowledge, but they also spark their interest in other subjects,
expose them to different experiences, and assist them in exploring and discovering their
surrounding.
Detailed illustrations that stimulate children's imagination, as well as colorful pop-ups that fill
children with a sense of wonder, are common features of entertaining books. Children's books also
have funny rhymes that are easy for children to memorize, as well as riddles or puzzles that they can
enjoy deciphering and solving.
Didactic or instructional books are often designed to be enjoyable in order for children to connect
learning with fun. Children's literacy rate increase when they read entertaining books. If a child
enjoys a book, he or she may want to read it again and again, becoming more familiar with it and
better understanding its language.

Question 3

Therapeutic books are books that deal with issues that children are facing and can provide children
with strategies for coping with their issues. Many therapeutic children's books address issues that
most children face, such as growing up and gaining independence, finding their place in society,
dealing with a changing body, and coming to grips with their own sexuality. Other books deal with
issues that not all children face, such as a loved one's death, mental illness, or trauma. Often
children will identify with a character with similar problems and this can help children to process
their own emotions in a safe way. Children will discuss the character’s problems instead of their own
highly personal problems. Children will eventually apply what the character has learned to their own
lives and gain insight into how to overcome or cope with their problems. Even if children do not face
especially challenging challenges in their own lives, books about characters who face adversity can
teach empathy to children. Students will ask one another questions about various topics and lift one
another's understanding of different people's problems if they read and discuss books together.

And example of a book that can help children understand and deal with bullying is Llama Llama and
