HOMEOSTASIS
Is the body’s self-regulating system to keep things balanced and working
efficiently.
It refers to the body’s ability to maintain a stable internal environment despite
external changes, ensuring optimal conditions for survival and function. This
involves various processes like regulating body temperature, fluid balance,
and blood glucose levels.
CELL MEMBRANE
The cell membrane is primarily responsible for keeping homeostasis at the
cellular level.
All types of cells have a plasma membrane that separates their contents from
the outside environment. Cell membrane’s function is to regulate what enters
and exits the cell.
