2.1. Be proactive
- You’re life doesn’t just “happen”
- Every moment, every situation, provides a new choice…
- Proactive versus reactive
- Circle of concern and circle of influence
 don’t sit and wait , instead of waiting for things to happen take life in your own hands.
Circle of concern (the things that happen around you but you can’t do much about it) and
circle of influence. (those are the things that you can influence, like what do you do with
your day)

 Instead of pushing your ideas try to understand the arguments of others. In many
situations you will be able to come to a mutual benefit.

Example: imagine the kitchen with two little girls and they want an orange but there is only
one left and they are fighting about it. Then mom comes and ask why are you fighting they
explain and mom takes a knife and cut it in two pieces.
Bad solution she should have asked questions she should have asked why they want the
orange
