Introduction
6 main reflections during this course:
1) Choices
- Has to do with our lifestyle, what do we chosoe? Does the earth choose this too?
- This course is for decision makers
- Our choices are too high for the world
2) Impact
- Our impact as an architect? Our impact/responsability is much higher than standard jobs
3) Do It Yourself
- We know a lot, but nobody does it. Nobody chooses to change
- The school is the place to start these changes and test them
4) Re-search
- Designing is research > discovering the right questions/awnsers
5) AI or PI
- (PI = personal intelligence)
- You need to use it, it gives it to you, it’s generating possibilities
6) Focus or talent
- Both. Combination is the best option
- Be focused and reduce the stress
- Ex. Vo trong: they have a focus for each project
➔ 6 reflections: the red line connects all of these, this is the power. There are a lot of possibilities
> looking at differences and choosing.

A. Code RED
Sustainability is not enough:
1. Take what you need
o our planet is a bank, and every day we take more mony from it, than we can pay
back + the speed of taking is gigantic
o Are we working together with nature? Not enough.
2. Produce and create a market to sell
o A lot of the stuff we buy is from the huge industry
3. Consume
o We create an enormous market for
consumption
4. Bad design quickly becomes waste
o Design is made to fail, so we buy new
stuff. The design is set up, dumping waste
after for the lowest cost.
o We create waste, but what does actually happens to the waste? Especially in the
big cities?
