,Preface:
In front of you is the report ''Envision It''. This report was written to fulfill the requirements for my
mandatory study abroad internship that comes with the Tourism Management program. This internship
is in the period from August 2023 to February 2024.
My internship will take place at Marriott Resort Palm Jumeirah, is a luxury resort located on Palm
Jumeirah Island in Dubai. This is a hotel that offers many opportunities to grow my skills and improve
my hospitality performance. During my internship period, I can have a good experience working in a
professional environment and learn how to best apply my acquired knowledge in the context of
hospitality.
This report takes a specific look at the impact of food waste and the amenity process within the
Marriott Resort Palm Jumeirah. With this analysis, I hope to not only provide insight into the
challenges facing today's hospitality industry, but also present solution-oriented approaches.
The excellent guidance and support I received from Marriott Palm Jumeirah has enabled me to take
my assignment to the next level. This guidance has provided me with an abundance of opportunities to
expand my knowledge, which has contributed significantly to my professional development which is
going to help me in the future as a young professional.

In this report, I will take an in-depth look back at my role as a Guest Relations intern at Marriott Resort
Palm Jumeirah during my internship period, referred to as "The Journey." This paper includes two
essential facets: a critical evaluation of my predetermined learning objectives as established in "The
Roadmap," and an in-depth analysis of my professional performance by the internship company,
including the feedback provided.
In this segment of The Journey, I take a critical look as a young professional at the evolutions I
experienced during my practicum internship. My reflection is based on the four predetermined learning
goals I formulated in The Roadmap. These goals cover both personal and professional aspects and
are analysed through feedback received from various stakeholders. As a final part of this reflection
report, I share my personal perspective on the influences of current trends and developments on the
selected work process, as described in the assignment Envision It.
