Controlling Variation to Improve Outcome

Over the last few decades, mortality rates in the United States have declined, though not as much as many would have hoped. Mortality rates measure health processes, whereas health outcomes are a measure of health outcomes. Variance reduction measures are used to improve performance in mortality rates, health processes, and health outcomes. Accountable Care Organizations, in my experience, will be most effective if they are assigned a specific population to care for and have a good handle on the quality of care. Would promote the use of the ACO model in the health care sector thus it is convincing that it can work in the healthcare sector. It would be the most effective way to achieve efficiency and cost savings in a sector where there are numerous good ideas for improving the efficiency of health-care systems. A more comprehensive implementation of the ACO model in the health sector will necessitate strong national leadership.
