ATI Medical Surgical Remediation Worksheet Spring 2023
Reflection on Thinking Think about how you are thinking: 1. Did you change any answers? Most of the time, I do not change my answers unless I suddenly remember something from class, the textbook, or clinical experience. Usually, when I change my answer when I’m not sure of what the right answer is, the original answer is right; so I tend not to change answers often. 2. Did you take enough time on each question, or did you take too much time on each question? My average time per question was exactly the same as the national average. On the first ATI, my average time per exam was closer to half the national average, although I performed better on the other ATI. 3. Did you lose concentration, and if so, is there a pattern? Should you have taken a break? There were definitely questions I didn’t spend more than 20 seconds on and questions that I spent several minutes on. This is partially due to either knowing the answer immediately or not knowing the answer at all; but it’s also partially due to my attention span. This exam took me about 3 hours to complete, which is a long time to stay focused. There were definitely points where I read a question I didn’t know the answer to and then became distracted without pausing the exam.
