- Eliminate waste and as such reduce cost become more efficient
i. Perfect processes
The client determines value
Every step in the process adds value for the client
Each step in the process has to be:
- Capable does what it has to do
- Available not absent or broken
- Adequate enough capacity
- Flexible responds to changes in client requests
ii. MUDA
Value added activity Activity that creates value for the client, for which the
client is prepared to pay
Class 1 MUDA: - Activities that create no value, but are necessary
Non-Value Added but Required Activity - Make those as minimal and efficient as possible
Class 2 MUDA: - Create no value for the client
Non-Value Added Activity - Eliminate
