In this task, I will explain the points of view of the various stakeholder
groups. I will describe how each stakeholder can manipulate each other
to meet their needs and benefits. I will be talking about the Coca Cola
Company and the NHS.

Coca Cola PLC:

 Owners:

The owners of the Coca Cola Company are the shareholders. They can
influence the business by threatening to withdraw their investment. If
this occurs, the business will not be able to sustain itself and may
collapse. The shareholders also have voting potential. They can chose to
boycott and vote out a manager if the latter is too demanding.

 Customers:

Customers can manipulate the business in many ways. They can boycott
the business and start buying goods and services from others to influence
the behaviour of the decision makers of the company. This will result in
the company losing sales to rivals. Moreover, they can send petitions to
the government to urge for actions to be taken.

 Managers:

Managers often demand for an increase in salary, a promotion or suggest
to do something for a business. However, if shareholders reject their
proposal, they can turn out to be very manipulative and can try to
indirectly blackmail them. They can make up their minds to stop deciding
and controlling the business to attract the attention of the shareholders.
They might lose focus and decide to make wrong decisions which might
have a negative effect on the business activities. This will result in
frustration among shareholders who eventually might accept their
demands and satisfy the managers’ wants, if it is reasonable, so as to
keep the business running.

As managers have a good knowledge about the activities of the business,
they can also threaten to sell information concerning the company to
other competitors, as they no longer have an interest in the business.
This will help other competitors to take over, which owners try to avoid at
any cost! On top of that, managers know that they occupy a vital position
and have great contributions towards the well-being of the business.

, Therefore, they can threaten to resign from their position. This will
disturb owners and most likely be in their favour.

 Suppliers:

Suppliers are vital in the smooth running of a business. If they are not
happy with an issue, they may decide to stop providing goods until their
conditions are taken into consideration. When there is no proper inflow of
goods, the business will not be able to meet the demands of the general
public and will lag behind. Therefore, the two parties have to come up
with an agreement as soon as possible to prevent disruption to the
business activities.

 Employees:

Employees expect regular meetings to share their views and opinions. If
staffs are not satisfied with their salary or position and believe that they
deserve to be treated in a better way, they can all unite and protest.
They can organise a strike against the business and send petitions to the
government or trade union. Some of them can even sell secret
information to the press or to competitors or simply resign. This will lead
to immediate action being taken to prevent rumours from spreading and
save the image of the company.

 Government :

The government can influence this business as if it does not pay tax
properly, the government will be forced to shut down the business. Coca
Cola PLC does not want this to happen at any cost, as this will destroy its
image. It will therefore follow all the rules when operating as, regulators
also keep an eye on the business activity.

NHS:

 Employees:

The staffs at the NHS are mainly doctors and nurses. Therefore, if they
decide to hold a strike, it will have a great impact on the general public.
This might have serious consequences and will affect the quality of health
services being offered to the citizens. They might also threaten to
