Apple VS Samsung
Introduction
I was tasked with creating a report comparing Apple and Samsung's websites. Both companies are
the world's largest manufacturers of smartphones. As a result of their rivalry, Samsung and Apple
have been competing for supremacy in the smartphone and other smart devices. The rivalry
between Apple and Samsung is unique because Samsung not only competes with Apple with
smartphones, but also with notebooks, tablets, and provides Apple with key components for their
devices. It will be fun to explore companies' relationship soured and how they feel and compete.
Apple
In 1976, Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniak, and Ronald Wayne established Apple in the Jobs family garage.
Soon after, Wayne sold his 10% stake in the company, leaving only Jobs and Wozniak. Wozniak was
the man behind Apple's first device, the Apple one, hand-building the first version out of wood. It
was far from the computers we know today and was intended as a kit computer that you would
assemble on your own. Wozniak also designed the Apple Two, which debuted a year later in 1977. It
was a far more successful commercial product. It was a self-contained system with a plastic case and
keyboard, but it was the visit health spreadsheet app that the brand on the Apple to that helped it
become a must-have for businesses and business users alike. In 1980, Apple introduced the Apple
three. It was Wozniak's first computer that he did not design, and it had a slew of issues. Heating

desk. Apple introduced the first LaserWriter in 1985, along with the first LPs. Apple was one of the

with an integrated wireless network in 1999. Apple replaced the button phone in 2007 with the
touch screen phone, which was thought to be magical. Since 2007, Apple has released 33 iPhones, as
well as Air Pods, iPads, and MacBooks.
Apple has discontinued products like the iPod shuffle, nano, classic, and even exited the Internet
router market by ending production of their AirPort Express and Airport Extreme. All to focus their
resources on products that have the biggest effect on their customers in business. They have also
been very deliberately entering new product categories. Many people have been begging Apple to
make a game console for years, but they refused understanding that such a product would not be
conducted to their business. On the other hand, every entering the last five years has been
successful in putting the Apple Watch, Air Pods and Home pod. Nowadays, Apple is the king of luxury
tech.

Samsung
I am a big Apple fan I spend a good
amount of time browsing their website
which is one of the best designed and
optimised sites in the industry. I like how
Apple promotes its newly released
products on the homepage. The photos on
the Homepage are full width and the store
interface is recognized and simplified to
feature product icons and banners, rather
than trying to fit every product onto a single page. Apple’s website is simple, and it is more focused
on newly released products.
The apple website is modern, clean letting the brand stand out and promote their products. The site
has clear navigation, contains a lot of helpful products and information, and is accessible to all
internet browsers. Apple use sans serif typeface and minimalistic icons, neutral colours, and white
spacing which lets the user focus more on the products.
The whole website has modern ad professional feel. Apple
uses high resolution pictures and videos of their products
which helps user a lot in terms of deciding what to buy.
Apple’s website also gives the option of AR, which helps
people buy and the product to stand out. It gives the
impression of the product how will it look in real life. Apple
uses simple icons that are easy to identify. The company logo
is located on the left, which becomes a link when being
clicked, and takes back to homepage.
Another interesting design on Apple’s website is the design of Only on Apple page. On the main
page, the first thing is the video of Apple’s official Ads and a large bold text explaining the service
Apple provides. As users scroll down the page, it gives the user purchase or subscribe to other Apple
subscriptions, for example, Apple Music, fitness, Apple Arcade, Apple TV, and iCloud storage.
Apple uses smooth navigation. It has 7 icons on the top which helps users navigate and it is not
complicated as windows as they are only a few icons. Apple has a great user interface which makes
the website user-friendly.
Conclusion
From the start of my journey, I have been amazed, and I have admired Apple’s work surely because I
am biased the way they design and develop their website. As you scroll up and down, the screen
kind of blurs like frosted glass which is amazing. Apple uses large bold text under the products on the
homepage and subtitles which are off-white and catches the user's eye. I really like simplistic
websites, big bold text, and big plain backgrounds. On the top right corner, there is a buy button,
because they have made it sticky that is the main call to action, the button stands out because it is
blue. Apple keeps the website simplistic by using the minimum number of photos. On the iPhone SE
