While dealing with Mary’s scenario, who possesses clinical experience in paediatric, surgical, and emergency nursing, it is essential to look at other factors. Therefore, before I assign her, any role based on her experience and an interest, understanding the implications of those factors is inevitable. They include whether she fits as a paediatrician or an emergency nurse. However, because she has extensive experience in paediatric matters from a clinical context, I would advise her to be a Paediatric Nurse (PN) in her current state (DeNisco and Barker 177). As the paper will show, Mary, through the requirements of nursing practice, must master her roles and responsibilities as a PN because she will be dealing with children.
