This is a summary of 'Britain for learners of English' 2009 (second edition). All applicable chapters that will be discussed on the test have been summarized and supplemented with additional information and visualization. Though this summary does not encompass all of the subject matter of the book, it does review and elaborate on that which the student must know. I do recommend attending classes in addition to this summary, as you will also be quizzed on the information, which your teacher will elaborate on. For those of you who have purchased my previous work, 'Aspects of the English-Speaking World: An introduction for EFL teachers (Complete summary)', you will find that this summary is a great continuation of that which you have previously learned, and does not needlessly repeat that which you already know. As always, enjoy!

Britain for learners of English
A summary

, A quick introduction
If you’re reading this summary and are familiar with my previous work, you’ll know that this
summary will contain both excerpts and explanations from the book, as well as fun videos,
photos, and other external links to multimedia that expands on the material found in this book.

The most important information of the book will be relayed in this summary, along with any
needed explanation. Some knowledge discussed in the book should already be familiar with the
reader, due to their previous lectures in and around the topic of English history and geography.

These short statements and excerpts will be supported by a picture or other external
information. This summary will have moments of light heartedness, and some goofing around.
Either way, it will most definitely land you a passing grade.

Chapters which are not discussed nor necessary to pass your Culture and Literature test have
not been included in this summary.

Let’s get started!

Het was helaas niet volledig genoeg om voor een toets voor te leren. Ook zaten er best veel zinsopbouw fouten in. veel
