Investigate the staging of several events to
4/B.P3
determine common success factors
When planning different events, you will notice that all of them go through
very similar stages in order to succeed. I will be giving several examples of
events and explain how their event planning stages are similar.

8. Pick the Date
Now as you realise, all three events have some key stages in common. This
includes picking a venue, setting a date, creating a budget and promoting.
, These stages are the most crucial steps in planning an event. Most of reasons
events are successful are because these delicate stages were planned
correctly. Without these precise stages, the event will flop and won’t be
successful.
Explain the chosen event idea, including reasons for
4/B.P4
choice.
Football Charity Match
We decided to rent out three football five a side pitches in a park. After that,
we decided the date and time of which we will carry out the event that is most
suitable. Most importantly, we decided the budget of how much we will spend
in order to start this event. At last, we planned on how this message will get to
the people by promoting it in different ways including online, social media or
even posters.
Here are some details about the event:
Each match is 10 minutes long
It will be a tournament
There will be prices including medals and trophies
Teams will be eliminated when they lose
Posters and social media messages will be distributed
We chose this idea since it’s a common event that many people will go to. This
is due to many reasons like there are many people who like to play football in
reading, and the fact that it is a charity event. Then idea of this event is to
make money for charity and have fun as well. Another reason for choosing to
make this event is that it will not cost much, and the outcome will be much
bigger. Having football experience with my colleagues involved in making the
event makes it easier.
