The painting depicts a long train of men and women of Europe and
America offering homage to the Statue of Liberty

The Statue of Liberty is depicted with the Charter of the Rights of Men
in one hand, and the Torch of Enlightenment in the other

United States and Switzerland have already crossed the Statue, as they
had already become nation-states at the time

France just reached the statue

Germany follows France. At the time, Germany was not a nation state,
however, the flag represented the hope to unify the German-speaking
principalities

Following Germany, is the Austria, the Two Kingdoms of Sicily,
Lombardy, Poland, England, Ireland, Hungary and Russia
