Writing is the 3 part of the IELTS test and lasts for 60 minut
The writing test has two parts – Task 1 and Task 2. You must
a minimum of 150 words for Task 1 and a minimum of 250 wo
for Task 2. Additionally, task 2 contributes twice as many m
to your overall score as Task 1.
You should aim to spend 20 minutes in task 1 and 40 minute
task 2.
There are two versions of the IELTS writing test – Academic
