Pontiacʻs Rebelion
Who: British Empire, Algonquian, Iroquoian, Muskogean, and Siouan speaking nations.
What: A two year armed conflict following the seven years war.
Why: Political fallout
Where: In the Great Lakes and Ohio. Spread to the Illinois country.
How:

The Paxton Boys
What: 57 drunk European settlers from Pacton, Pennsylvania killed 20 innocent
Susquehannock people (Indian)
When: December 14, 1763
Where:Paxton Pennsylvania
Who: European Settlers/ Susquehannock
How: They broke into the warehouse and used rifles, and scalped the people.
Why:They suspected of convenience with other Native Americans who had been pillaging and
scalping.

They came nonetheless……
- More immigrants show up
- More settlements were built
- More Native Americans are displaced
- Thirteen colonies are established

, As more people left England…..
- The English were having separation anxiety.

- Build and maintain roadways

- Wouldnʻt have police officers, Nurses, Doctors, EMTʻs, etc.
- No roads
- Unhappy, be against the government, no money.

Taxation and The British:
- They tried to control their “keiki” overseas by taxing
- The Stamp Act (Taxing every piece of paper)
- The Townshend Act ( Tax British china, glass, lead, paint and paper)
How did Colonist respond?
- They became upset
- They threw shipments of Tea into the Boston Harbor
- The Boston Tea Party
- Objected to every other attempt to be taxed
Two Sides
- Eventually, TWO SIDES emerged
