Reading Fluency -ANS-refers to the speed, inflection and accuracy with which students read, either
orally or silently. In order
to have this skill, students must be able to decode, or break down into segments, words that adhere to
the common rules of the English alphabet. For those words that are not easily decoded, students must
build their vocabulary of "sight words," which are recognized without the need to decode
