Instructions:
1. The aim of this portfolio is to test your knowledge according to the learning outcomes of this
module.
2. You need to answer all the questions.
3. Download the portfolio from myModules and save your answer file as
“MNO2608_S2_Assessment_3_Studentnumber_Surname”
4. Assessments should be typed in Arial, font size 12, with 1.5 line spacing.
5. Although it is strongly suggested that you type your responses to this assessment, you may
submit handwritten assessments. Please write legibly so that it is possible to read your
assessment answers. Scan all the pages into one PDF document and submit it online.
6. You are not required to answer your assessment using this template. Should you elect to
type your own assessment or to submit a handwritten submission please ensure that you
number your answers correctly.
7. Only PDF format submissions are accepted on the submissions portal. Ensure that only
one document is uploaded as the system only accepts one document and not individual
page submissions.
8. All submissions should be clear and legible. Ensure that scanned documents are not
blurred.

9. In-text citations and a list of references are compulsory, even if you use the study guide and
prescribed textbook. Each additional source that you consult should also be referenced.
Failure to include in-texta references will result in a deduction of 2 marks per question.
10. Referencing should be according to the Harvard referencing method. An example of the
Harvard referencing method is included under Additional Resources on myModules.
Failure to submit a reference list with this assessment will result in a deduction of 5 marks.
11. Do not copy directly from any source (including your study guide) as Unisa’s plagiarism
policy is applicable to this portfolio. Plagiarism will not be allowed and may result in
disciplinary action.
12. The use of AI/ChatGPT is not permitted to complete any assessment.
13. Take note of the mark allocation for each question. This will give you an indication of the
number of facts that you should discuss. Make sure that questions and sub-questions are
clearly numbered. You don’t need to copy the exam questions. Complete the declaration
and start your portfolio by numbering each question.
14. The assessments will be returned to you online once marked and finalised and the
assignments department will inform you of your results.
15. Please ensure that you submit a signed declaration.
16. Please ensure that your PDF document is NOT encrypted in a secured mode, password
protected or infected with a virus.
Files that markers cannot open, including image uploaded files, will be awarded a zero.
17. Submit your answers in one PDF or Word document by using the Assessment tool on
myModules.
18. Only online assessments will be accepted.
NO POSTAL OR E-MAILED SUBMISSIONS OF THIS ASSESSMENT ARE ALLOWED.
