Obtainthepreservedslideofabacteria. 2. UseAppendixAandfollowtheinstructionsonhowtouseaMicroscope. 3. Observetheslideunder10X,andthen40Xobjectivelenses. 4. Recordanddescribeyourobservationsmadeusing40Xlens. 5. Makesuretonoteasmanydetailsaspossibleaboutthesize,shapeandcolor(stain)ofbacteria. 6. Use100Xoilimmersionlensifneededandrecordyourobservations. Note to Students: Don’t forget to use oil with 100X lens only. After completing the observation, clean the oilimmersionlenswithlenswipestoremoveoil.Becarefultonotcontaminateotherlenses(4X,10X,40X)withoilasthiswillcausedamage tothe otherlenses. 7.
