Website Comparison
Compare the principles of website design used in two websites:
Coursera and Udemy are two educational website platforms.
They offer many courses online.
Target audience: students, teachers, developers, and anyone who is looking to
learn to about a specific skill or a subject.
-Layout: the layout of the two websites is both easy and simple also eye-
catching as they are using a good graphic design with images and logos.
-Accessibility: Udemy is more accessible than Coursera as it provides a
language-changing icon at the top right hand of the website.
Purpose and target audience
Udemy and Coursera both are educational platforms where people from all
over the world in many different languages
Coursera
Coursera is more of a professional platform so many of its courses will be
delivered by a university or well know institution or a famous organization such
as google or meta. or experts or professional instructors.
Coursera offers community forum support.
You can only get help from the instructor if you are doing a degree or master’s.
Coursera offers courses from recognised universities and institutions
Coursera’s courses are more formally organised, and it is very well structured
as well.
,Cost: it costs $49 to get the certification.
Udemy
In terms of price, it is more expensive than Coursera sometimes but that
depends on the course level and the instructor, And probably on the demand
as well.
Almost anyone can become an instructor on Udemy and sell their courses
using the platform as it doesn’t require identification of qualification or
certification.
This sometimes can worry some students about who is teaching them,
especially since it is online, and they don’t know who the instructor is. It is
unlike Coursera where it the courses are from professional instructors at
recognized universities or organizations.
There is no community forum support in Udemy that you can get help and
support from.
Instructor’s assistance: this is one of the best things and features on Udemy is
that you can get help and message your instructor, but the other side of
it is that you can only get assistance from the course instructor, but you
can’t get any help or advise from any mates or students learning on the
course. Which sometimes can be helpful to share your experience with
other students and they share their experience too and benefit from
each other’s knowledge and skills.
Sometimes Udemy’s courses could not be as organised and structured as
Coursera’s as it is very recognised institution whereas on Udemy it could
be informal and not structured in a professional way.

Web 2.0 is the name given to the second generation of the world wide web,
which is user-generated content, it is about social networking,
collaboration, and interactive applications. Examples of web 2.0 features
include video sharing and online web applications. Web 2.0 is unlike the
static content of web 1.0, web 2.0 sites allow users to create and share
content, and it gives the ability to users to interact with other users and
collaborate in a variety of ways.
