This assignment will demonstrates how dominant narratives are perpetuated and reinforce power relations and social norms through a combination of quantitative content analysis, narrative analysis, film theory criticism, and media audience theory. This assignment explores a variety of films from different genres and time periods in order to shed light on the complex relationship between onscreen representations, audience reception, and cultural norms. As a result of this analysis, it is hoped to contribute to a deeper understanding of how film shapes and reflects our collective understanding of gender and identity.
