INSTRUCTIONS FOR A TAKE-HOME EXAM ON MYEXAMS
PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE ANSWERING
THE EXAMINATION QUESTIONS.
1. The examination question paper counts 100 marks.
2. It consists of two sections, marked A and B.
2.1 Section A counts 30 marks and section B counts 70 marks. You must answer both sections A and B
on the examination paper. Section A consists of short questions. Section B consists of long
questions.
2.2 SECTION A:
The questions in this section must be answered on the examination paper. Section A consists of TEN
(10) short questions. Answer all ten questions. Each correct answer counts 3 marks.
SECTION B:
Please note that in section B you have a choice between questions 1 and 2. Choose either question
1 or question 2 but do not answer both questions 1 and 2.
2.3 Please note further that questions 3-6 are compulsory. This section consists of six (6) questions. Section
B counts 70 marks.

3. The duration of the examination is 4 hours. On the timetable, it is scheduled from 08:00 -12:00.
3.1 Your Examination opens on 2023/06/02 at 08:00 and finishes at 12:30. The examination must be
submitted via myExams on Moodle on or before 12:30 (South African Time).
3.1.1 You MUST activate the QR CODE on page 3 between 07:45 am and 08:30 am
3.2 Your reading time is 15 minutes
3.3 Your writing time is 3 (hrs) 45 minutes
3.4 Your submission time is 30 minutes
3.5 Your effective time is 4 hours 30 minutes.
4. This is a timed online examination. You may consult your prescribed study material during the
examination. You may not consult anyone else and must submit your own work.
5. This examination is invigilated via the invigilator app.
6. Your exam file must be uploaded on the myExams platform in Moodle. See QR code on next page.
