Air Pollution
Air pollution is a common problem in the current age. This is due to the industrial
boom in many countries after the Agrarian revolution. Technological enhancement
has led to a significant increase in air pollution. According to the Environmental
Protection Agency of the US, there are some pollutants that have had the most
daunting effects on the American Atmosphere (EPA 5). These pollutants are Ground-
level Ozone, particulate matter, lead, sulfur dioxide, carbon monoxide and nitrogen
dioxide. These substances corrupt the atmosphere’s element in a great way. Their
continuous release into the atmosphere causes daunting effects to human, animal and
plant lives.
Air pollutants are a concern to the EPA due to the health and climatic effects they
have on the United States. To start with, these pollutants interfere with the ozone layer
in the atmosphere which results in global warming. Global warming has a series of
effects on the United States and the world as a whole. To start with, Global warming
results to some effects such as floods and hurricanes. In the recent past, the US has
faced some Hurricanes which have resulted in the massive loss of property and human
life. Air pollutants also have major health effects on people. To start with, these
pollutants cause allergies to people. Additionally, they also cause other diseases such
as Lung Cancer since most of them have Nicotine when emitted into the air. Air
