For this first week's notes the idea of sociology is introduced, common misconceptions about the idea of sociology, and how people naturally socialize without using logic but through the experiences of social interactions and behaviors.

For this week this document contains information about US cultural norms and why it has an effect on people socially.

Week 4 consists of information explaining capital (money/currency), power, and the conflict theory by Karl Marx. These subjects demonstrate their effects on the economy and social well-being of the American people.

This week contains the first portion of week five before rolling into week six. This document explains introduces and explains information about the subject of the American workforce, what things in society are considered irrational or rational, and how bureaucracy plays a role financially in American society.

This week's notes contain information about identifying the "self" and how it is constructed through human interactions.

Week 7 consists of information about, 1. How would you define gender? 2. What is gender? 3. What makes one gender different from the other (s)? 4. How can you tell the gender? and how gender is socialized in society.

Week 8 and 9 notes contain information about gender and sexuality and how they effect one another in society.

Weeks 10 & 11 consist of information on "class" and how it creates social hierarchies.

Week 12 contains information about race and racism in America and how it connects to cultural practices such as: 1 – Foods 2 – Clothing & style 3 – Religious beliefs 4 – Language Also, it scratches the subject's surface on race and its connections to social power.
