Tell me about Ian's birth history and current health and
development.
So, Ian was born at 37 weeks, so he was full-term. Fom the time of
his birth 'til about one-and-a-half, he was healthy, didn't have any
developmental problems.

Describe Ian's speech and the progress you have seen.
Mom: He's two-and-a-half now, so for about six months, he's been
doing weekly sessions, and I will say even going out in public,
people are, praise the amount of both speech he has and how well
speaks, the amount that he does express himself. I've had many
people tell me, both tell myself and caregivers, when he's out in
public that he does a great job, and they're surprised that he
speaks as well as he does for the age he is. So we've been very
happy. SLP: So you've been happy with his progress? Mom: Yeah,
this has been a great progress. You know, back when we first
noticed some of the problems, I, it was hard for me as his mom to
understand that he, other people couldn't understand him. And I,
although I do have an older child, she never had any speech issues.
Wasn't sure, it was hard to compare when even if you have been
through the process before. But he's been very, you know,
receptive. He's been able to utilize the tools that we use in the
therapy at home. And we try to practice them as much as we can.
So I think that he's definitely progressing to, you know, a level that
I think he's on track. Definitely want to get him up-to-speed before
he's in school. SLP: Sounds good. So is he in any preschool or
daycare? Mom: So he's, right now he's two-and-a-half, so he may
start some classes when he turns three. But preschool won't start
'til next year.

Does Ian have a history of hearing difficulties or ear infections?
Around one-and-a-half to two, he did experience several ear
infections. And at his two-year visit, we addressed with his
pediatrician that there were, there were some articulation issues.
He had developed a good population of words, but in trying to
