Associates degree approved by board, specialized course of study in LTC admin,
and AIT program
Specialized course of study in LTC admin and AIT program
Educational and AIT requirements may be satisfied by two years of active work
Applicants for licensure by endorsement
experience as licensed HFA in another state-- evidence required
Completion of residency-internship in HCAD completed as part of a degree
requirement
One year of work experience as licensed HFA
AIT equivalent in another state
Requirements for AIT waiver
One year of experience as CEO/COO in hospital
Masters degree in HCAD and 6 months of work experience as HFA in another state
The board may waive up to 30% of required hours
must be completed (and all requirements) at least 30 before exam
Allowed 2 additional attempts within 1 year
If they fail again, the applicant must appear before board and may be required to
submit:
