If there is smoke in the cabin, can the cabin crew contact the flight crew via the interphone after
the final door is closed? - ANSWERS-Yes. It is safety related contact with the flight crew, from
last door closed until takeoff roll commences.
Can group 2 or 3 PEDs be used when the aircraft is at standoff (stairs)? - ANSWERS-No
Can a pax requiring an INF/Extension Seatbelt be positioned in an Emergency Exit row? -
ANSWERS-No
Can a person enter an aircraft while in a state of intoxication? - ANSWERS-NO. According to
regulation CAR256. Crew may refuse service to disruptive pax and prohibit the consumption of
alcohol brought onboard the aircraft.
If a crew member is not onboard due to boarding duties, can another crew member be
delegated the responsibility of briefing a disabled pax? - ANSWERS-YES. The crew member must
be advised of any specific requirements of the pax and informed that the briefing has been
completed.
Can passengers use mobile phones when boarding at standoff? - ANSWERS-No
When can hand held PEDs be operated after landing? - ANSWERS-When the aircraft has vacated
the active runway, provided passengers will not be required to disembark via stairs.
