ESQD: Explosives Safety Quantity Distance - answer Provides different minimum safe
distances for buildings, roadways, and magazines.
PES - answer
IMD – answer Intermagazine Distance: applies to ECMs, AGMs, open storage sites,
classification yards, holding areas.
ILD – answer Intraline Distance: provided for operating buildings
Surveillance workshops, production buildings, inspection locations, maintenance
facilities.
PTRD - answerPublic Traffic Route Distance: all roads accessible to the public, both on
and off the installation, require this level of protection. Also applies to railroad lines for
passenger or cargo traffic, water channels capable of being used for commerce.
IBD - answerInhabited Building Distance: generally assigned to anything outside the
ammunition area(building doesn't have to be inhabited all the time).
