therapy Proposal
ACTIVITY: Students are required to develop an evidence-based
health promotion activity for the workplace, which addresses a
specific health promotion strategy suitable for patients and service
users to access to learn more about their presenting health
condition e.g children with a diagnosis of obesity so I will look at
healthy eating or promoting of physical activity


The activity will draw on the principles of the occupational therapy
model chosen by the student. The resource may be designed as a
visual artefact e.g. an information leaflet or as an activity e.g. a
coaching session. Students will include an evidence-based
background and rationale for the health promotion need of the
individual, group or population, and a justification of the design and
delivery of the intervention and the supporting evidence. They will
complete a written justification of the activity designed for the
health promotion need, including academic referencing. Theories
supporting the principles of health promotion will be incorporated.

summative assignments- they will need to resit the failed
component.
NB. The resource is marked for creativity, but only with regard to the
appropriateness of its content and design, not its artistic merit per
se. For example, using hand drawn images and coloured pencils
instead of computer graphics will not disadvantage you, provided
that doing so does not lessen the clarity or effectiveness of your
artefact.

signpost to free prints or to go to boots to print pictures, together
with an account of how this overcomes any communication
difficulties in respect of the chosen topic or target individual/group.
