Writing about a topical language issue
You should spend about 45 minutes on this section.
2 ‘We should let languages die and enjoy those that are still alive and evolving.’
Write an article for a UK newspaper, critically responding to this statement.
‘Language’ can refer to any written or spoken communication which is widely available to the
general public. You need to engage a reasonably well-educated, non-specialist audience.
