, Population growth in Luxembourg 2
The purpose of this paper is to document research conducted at The Hague University of
Applied Sciences on the topic of population growth. The central question of this research is:
what has caused the major population growth in Luxembourg since 1980. To answer this
question I used desk research. That was done by diving into the literature that was available
on the various databanks that I used, and reviewed the previous research findings to learn
more about the topic and find possible explanations for this research question. The answers
found while doing the research were surprising, there are lots of different explanations for
population growth such as poverty, immigration and child labor. There is a lot of literature
that explain how this works. by looking more specifically into Luxembourg the most reliable
answer was that the population growths is due to immigration, Luxembourg is a wealthy
country that offers a wealthy life style and nice jobs.
