REVIEW OF RELATED LITERATURES AND STUDIES
This chapter articulated the pertinent literature and studies related to the current study.
These references had been used by the researchers to create and develop the study. This section
also presented the important studies that justified the current research.
Artificial Intelligence
Artificial intelligence (AI) is a current computer science area that uses technology to
stimulate human cognitive processes. Its major purpose is to streamline normal procedures,
making them more productive and faster. According to Smith (2023), AI can assist students in
efficiently sorting through enormous amounts of data to unearth essential information, identify
trends, and provide useful insights that can be applied to their projects. That is not all; students can
take a more modern approach to studying by using AI-powered virtual reality simulations. These
dynamic and enjoyable learning activities can give students with a realistic and collaborative
learning environment, presenting real-life scenarios without the associated hazards. AI-generated
virtual reality simulations can also be tailored to specific goals and objectives, allowing students
to interact with their surroundings at their own pace.
In the study conducted by (Swathi et al., 2018), artificial intelligence is one of today’s most
exciting technological advances. From developing advanced data-collection techniques to giving
precise and personalized student feedback, AI excels. The most skilled AI can immediately
evaluate a student’s needs and construct an appropriate evaluation. It can demonstrate students’
,knowledge, repeat classes as needed, and instantly create a unique learning plan for each student.
AI might offer teachers a virtual teaching assistance. More than simply instructors and students, it
may be a means to support parents by integrating them in their children’s learning environments
and providing them with the knowledge they need to help their children succeed outside of the
classroom.
Artificial intelligence and its applications in various fields are expanding on a daily basis.
AI has begun to exert its effect in the sphere of education, serving as a helpful tool for both students
and teachers, as well as assisting the learning process. However, not all colleges have fully adapted
to the use of AI in education, and it will take time to do so. However, research indicates that in the
near future, AI will have a positive impact on the education sector. It is currently altering the
education industry, but has yet to demonstrate its true potential in education. Furthermore, learning
from computer systems can be very useful, but it is unlikely that it will completely replace human
teaching in schools colleges. (javapoint 2023)
More over, artificial intelligence is transforming the way students learn and teach. AI is
paving the way for an exciting future in education by personalizing learning, automating
administrative duties, providing novel instructional content, and much more. However, it is critical
to address a guarantee that education remains a beacon of opportunity and prosperity in a rapidly
changing world. Education is changing, and artificial intelligence is making way for more
personalized, efficient, and inclusive learning. The future of education has arrived, fueled by AI
innovation. As a society, we must embrace this development and collaborate to guarantee that
, education remains a source of opportunity and advancement in an ever-changing world. (Erman
2023).
Applying the capabilities of AI to some of our most pressing issues in education and system
design provides similarly remarkable prospects. It is already assisting teachers in designing courses
and analyzing student performance data to develop learning interventions and new lesson plans.
However, its capacity to do more is evident. Given the rapid expansion of the global economy, it
may help us better understand how the school day and all of its learning activities should appear.
Many people believe that these technologies are propelling us toward new vistas and ushering in
fresh and strong futures. That category includes people who are pushing the boundaries ahead,
such as Sal Kahn, CEO and Founder of Khan Academy. (Philips 2023)
In the study of Caratiquit et al., (2023) mentioned the findings revealed that the impact of
ChatGPT as an educational aid on students’ academic performance is completely controlled by
their learning motivation. The ChatGPT has been shown to improve academic achievement by
increasing Learning motivation. The effective and ethical use of ChatGPT contributes significantly
to educational development and academic accomplishment among students, consequently
increasing their drive to learn.
Additionally, formative exams that are well-designed and take advantage of the newest
technological breakthroughs can help students learn more quickly and effectively. These
mechanisms are also an essential component of the teaching and learning process. Artificial
intelligence-powered mini-tests can be used to create a wide range of interesting applications,
including intelligent tutoring, covert assessments, games, and virtual reality. To get there, the
