Tell me about yourself? -
correct answer ✅Thank you for inviting me to this interview and
thank you for the question. My name is Lauren and I am passionate
about helping people which has led me into this role of a personal
support worker, I am an empathetic person and I love making a
meaningful difference in people's lives. I am a personal support
worker with over 1,000 hours (a year and a half) experience of
providing resident-centered care in long-term care and retirement
settings. Currently, I'm pursuing my Practical Nursing Diploma at
Niagara College to deepen my knowledge and further enhance my
skills to deliver quality care. I'm particularly drawn to this role
because it aligns with my passion for providing empathetic and
compassionate care while contributing to a team in a highly
effective manner committed to improving residents' quality of life
and well-being. I'm highly skilled in providing aspects of care such
as assisting with many activities of daily living, such as hygiene and
oral care, grooming, dressing, toileting, feeding, mobility support,
and providing emotional companionship to residents and their
families. I remember when I was a child and went to visit my great
grnadmother at her nursing home she was living in, and I vividly
remember seeing the PSWs and nursing staff caring for her in such
a genuine, loving way and treating her like she was a part of their
family, and how they included us in her care and how much she
enjoyed talking with them and living there. It was a very eye
opening and enjoyable experience which motivated me to want to
be able to have the honour of being in those positions as well.
