PART 2
2.1 Reflection on Formative Assessment
Reflection on Learning in Assignment 01
In Assignment 01, I learned about the foundational principles of
research design, particularly the distinction between qualitative
and quantitative paradigms. I developed an understanding of
how research questions, objectives, and hypotheses align with
the problem statement. This formative assessment improved
my ability to identify dependent and independent variables and
, to formulate measurable research hypotheses.
I also learned the value of reliability and validity in quantitative
research. Understanding how measurement tools can influence
the accuracy of findings strengthened my appreciation for
systematic data collection and ethical integrity in research.
Reflection on Learning in Assignment 02
Assignment 02 deepened my understanding of sampling
procedures, statistical analysis, and the importance of data
interpretation. I explored how data can reveal patterns and
correlations that support or disprove hypotheses. The use of
descriptive and inferential statistics was particularly
enlightening, as it demonstrated how numbers can be used to
make sense of real-world academic challenges.
Through this assignment, I also reflected on the ethical
considerations of using Artificial Intelligence (AI) in research. It
became evident that AI must be used responsibly to avoid
compromising academic integrity, a theme that became central
to my research proposals.
2.2 Weekly Self-Evaluations
Throughout this module, I conducted weekly self-evaluations to
monitor my progress and engagement. Early in the semester, I
struggled with understanding statistical terminology and data
analysis tools such as SPSS. However, with consistent practice
