De- gree) To get into an art-related college program, you will need this. It will be
checked for technical ability, Skills, and personal style.
The student must adhere to Deadlines, and any other requirements set
for size, etc. Most schools require 10-20 pieces, that show a variety of
work that has been completed recently. It should include things drawn
from life or directly observed. It should showcase originality, a theme or
technique that the student is passionate about. The artworks should be
free of wrinkles, or smudges. Some schools may ask for a sketchbook
as well. If submitted digitally the pictures should be of the first quality
and show colors and the like clearly.
2. Illustrator This profession produces artwork that is used in books and
publications. It can be created traditionally or digitally. They need to know
how to create illustrations in many ditterent stiles, to suit the needs of
clients and projects. They need to be proficient with ditterent artistic media
as well as computer software. A degree is not necessary, but a portfolio
showing creativity and skills is. They can work freelance or for a company.
There are many types; Medical, Botanical, Book, Advertising and more.
3. Animator This profession is responsible for using a computer or traditional art to
create animations. They design both 2D and 3D animations for a
variety of needs, including television, mobile apps, websites and more.
Many are self-employed and work freelance assignments, although it is
possible to be employed with a company too. A bachelor's degree in
computer animation is usually required, as well as a portfolio showing a
variety of animation skills. They will need to be able to work with a
variety of programs, platforms, and company uses. Internships and
freelance positions are valuable for gaining experience because
companies will give preferences to those with experience and a good
portfolio.
