A. Explain the activities required to prepare for effective talent acquisition by
completing the following:
A1. Recommend two knowledge, skills, abilities, or other characteristics (KSAOs)
to add to the dog trainer job description that align with the shelter’s goals.
The shelters’ current goals would include but are not limited to, adding dog
training as a service, offering in-home dog training for other workers and
volunteers. To be able to achieve these goals we need to hire the correct type of
person, which would start with the job description.
Two qualifications for “recommend”:
1. Experience teaching group dog training classes.
2. Background in public speaking & presenting.
A2. Explain how the shelter is taking steps to commit to diversity, equity, and
inclusion (DEI) can be included in the shelter’s employee value proposition and
talent acquisition plan.

the talent acquisition plan would be to target sources where diverse candidates
are more likely to be or offer internships to targeted groups to help nurture their
