Side effects: electrolyte imbalances (sodium/potassium), Hyperglycemia (monitor DM patients blood sugar), Hyperuricemia (monitor uric acid levels for patients with kidney stones or gout), Hyperlipidemia (monitor LDL and triglyceride levels). Nursing Actions: Use with caution with patients with renal impairments/renal failure.
