Reading has always been a sacred escape for me, and one book that profoundly shaped my thinking
is The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho. I chose to read The Alchemist because I was at a stage in life where
I felt lost and unsure of my purpose, and a close friend recommended it as a guide to rediscovering
my dreams. As I delved into Santiago’s journey in pursuit of his Personal Legend, what intrigued me
the most was how Coelho intertwined spiritual wisdom with simple storytelling, making deep truths
about life accessible and relatable. The way the book emphasised that the universe conspires to
help one achieve their true purpose ignited hope within me. This book has impacted my life by
instilling in me the unshakeable belief that pursuing my dreams with faith and resilience is not only
worthwhile but essential for my fulfilment.

One of the most significant pieces of advice in The Alchemist is when the old king tells Santiago,
