1.1 Using the following techniques, create an activity and lesson
purpose for Ms. Direko to assess learners.
1.1.1 Pictures
Teacher Activity: The teacher demonstrates the learner the set of coloured
images of the most typical objects (e.g. apple, dog, chair, book, sun). She
then requests every learner to list the name of the object in English and
pronounce the word in a short sentence e.g., It is a dog.
Purpose of Assessment: The aim of the assessment is to evaluate the
learners in recognizing and naming of the objects with the use of proper
words and to form the simple sentences in English.
